How do you turn a love affair with words and a need to know EVERYTHING into a career? You become a journalist. From winning elementary school poetry contests to working on her high school newspaper, Jamie spent years building her skills before earning a legit journalism degree from Iowa State University.
As a writer, storyteller and content creator, she joined Filament with more than 20 years of experience in TV news, corporate communications, public relations and marketing. Jamie never misses an opportunity to ask questions and savors the chance for an in-depth interview. She’s interviewed everyone from preschoolers to presidential candidates and believes everybody has a story worth telling. At Filament, Jamie uses her talents to help clients tell relevant, on-brand stories.
Jamie and her husband live in Des Moines, Iowa, with their two daughters. She loves rooting for her beloved Iowa State Cyclones and cheering on her kids’ sports teams (cross-country, basketball, soccer and softball). When she has a free moment, you’ll find her reading the latest issue of People magazine or watching Food Network.
