C is for Carmen, which also stands for:
You know those sunny summer days when everyone’s in a good mood? Well, that’s exactly what it’s like every day with Carmen in the Filament office. Her bright and cheery personality – and love of all things dairy – make her a star Filamentarian.
Since most of the Filamentarians were (quite literally) raised in a barn, the office could use some help staying organized, which is Carmen’s job as operations intern. She’s whipping the office into shape, implementing new practices for folder and file structures for the entire company. This is no small feat, but we know Carmen has it covered and, if all else fails, she’ll pull out the power tools.
Outside the office, Carmen can be found in class at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, or on her family’s 400-cow dairy farm, feeding calves or washing show heifers. She’s previously worked as an agriculture agent at the UW Extension and interned on a 1,200-head calf ranch. Whether at a dairy show or feeding calves in a blizzard, we know exactly where to find Carmen: wherever the cows are.
