It’s not often you meet college students like Sydney. She’s lived in the Netherlands, flies airplanes and dreams of trying all 600 types, varieties and styles of Wisconsin cheese while farming full-time. Sydney is a senior studying dairy science and life sciences communication at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. (Read: She fits right in at Filament.)
While most Badgers spend their weekends at Camp Randall watching football, Sydney heads 125 miles North to help on her family’s 550-cow and 1,500-acre farm. Her favorite chores? Herd health checks or helping breed cows.
Whether it be on the water or in the woods, you should always look outside for Sydney. Her family values run just as deep as her love for dairy cows, and when she’s not in class or working, she’s spending as much time with them as she can. What could be better than an African large game safari and hunt with your family? Not much.
